Hello, I am Greg Boyd. I first came to the Copper River Valley in 1978 while on active military duty.  I went King Salmon fishing on the Gulkana River that first summer and was hooked for life.  I was so impressed with this area that in 1982, I moved to the Copper River Valley permanently and started my company, Ram-River Outfitters.  During the winter months, for the next 17 years, I continued to serve my country and recently retired.  I have been a professional guide for over 28 years in Alaska with an excellent safety record.

In the Copper River Basin, non-residents can hunt for Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Wolf, Mountain Goat, Sheep, and Moose.  In the summer months, we primarily fish for King and Red Salmon.

In addition to having a passion for hunting and fishing, I earned a BS in Wildlife Management.  I’m an artist in the wintertime, doing scrimshaw.

My wife, Jo, prepares delicious home-cooked meals for our hunters.  She is also a licensed acupuncturist and works with me in our art business, Boydstone.

We also have a Drahthaar named Colt.  The American version of this dog is called German Wire Hair Pointer.

Thank you for visiting my website.  Please call or email with any questions you may have.
